ABOUT ME
I'm Emily. I use play to build strong canine-human relationships and real world obedience. My training doesn't rely on constant micromanagement- your dog will learn to make great choices on their own.
I'm always learning– I am mentored by trusted trainers, attend seminars, and train for Schutzhund, which involves, obedience, protection, and tracking. This sport motivates me to constantly improve my skills to better serve your dogs and mine. I regularly travel from Denver to Wisconsin, California, and the East Coast to learn from the best.
Why do I use play? Play-based training is effective because it:
-
Fulfills dogs' genetic needs (chase, tug, thrash, stalk, etc.)
-
Strengthens the social bond between dog and human
-
Creates a fun learning environment where new concepts stick
Do you want to take your dog hiking off-leash around Denver and Boulder's best trails? Take them to your favorite brewery and know they'll be happy and under control? Check out my training programs and reach out to set up some lessons!

My Philosophy

Freedom: dogs are empowered to make the right choices on their own with minimal human micromanagement.
Fulfillment: dogs regularly engage in enjoyable activities, especially ones they were bred to do.
Reliability: dogs quickly, happily, and consistently respond to their owners’ commands.
All three are essential; you can’t have one without the other, which is why I use the puzzle piece visual.
